To all out in the web world of Classic Trucks Magazine welcome. Even though there are different areas for Chevys and Ford I want us all to play nice! I'm Grant Peterson the Asociate(had to leave out an S) Editor of Classic Trucks Magazine and have been called the "Ford Guy" around the office even though I don't claim any brand loyalty, I work on 'em all. None the less, I thought I'd kick off the Ford side of the board since I've recently started in on new project that happens to be '68 F-100 "bumpside". For the introductory feature check out the September issue that's on sale now and let us know what else is going out there. -Grant

Hi frank and pepsiman and grant I'm working on '84 econoline(just starting). It is a box van w/dualies. Is this a f-100? or a e-100? What motor is in your f100? is your longbed 8ft? Is it PU or van? Thanks

hi 2speeds, if it's an econoline it should be an e-100. to be perfectly honest, i'm not sure what motor is in the f-100. the guy said it was a 352, but i think it might be a 360. i bought it to put the bed on my 250. it is an 8' styleside.

Hey guys! I would just like to introduce myself, my name is Steven and I am pretty new to this hobby but i do have experience working on cars. I have a 1962 ford-f100, I took out the old 223 and the three-at the-tree and put in a 5.0 and a C6. I am having some trouble with a wire that I think runs from the distributor to the coil. Its a 16 gauge and when I fired up my engine for the first time it ran but that wire im talking about got really hot and snapped. Im guessing there is to much current going through that wire, correct? What do i do? Ballast resistor? Bigger gauge? Please help. Thanks fellas

I just found out about this place off of Fordification.com. I am currently restoring a 69 Ford F-100 from the ground up. It is gonna be 514 powered, vintage air, tilt steering, dakota digital, lowered, fuel cell, 4 wheel disc brakes and lowered just to nake some of the options. Been gathering parts up for the last couple of months. Now getting ready to get serious on it. Great site Grant.

Hey Grant, good luck with the forum. Like you don't have enough to do now. I'll stop in from time to time. I'm glad you got the package. Hopefully I'll see it on the window of your truck someday. I'll catch you over on FORDification. Later, John.

Thanks Grant for putting these bumpsides on the map. I have a 68 F100 that I have been working on for more than 5 years but it's almost done. These are the mods that I have done to it. Full custom frame 2600 contitech air bags 20" wheels but will upgrade to 22's converted to short bed 89 5.0 efi with AOD I am going to chop it 3" and shave everything on it. That's it for now! Later

It's good to see the Magazine trying the forum thing. I don't spend very much time on line with truck issues anymore (most of my major re-do was completed in 2003, but they are never totally finished), however I still lurk around Fordification some. Grant -I'm theguy that was hoping you'd keep the step side bed, just to be differnt.

Hey Trevor, good to see you out and about. I thought it would be cool to see the flareside thing done also, but looking at the drawing Grant has it probably wouldn't have worked so well. Take care.

Hello Grant and all other ford lovers.I bought a 65 f100 and a 66 f100,I'm not restoring but more or less hot rodding the 66, I'm using parts from the 65 like the doors, hood, different things.I've never done this sort of thing before but with my 4 sons and myself we are getting the father and son thing going on pretty good ( quality time )my question is....is there anyone out there with the knowledge of where I might find parts?? I live in the foothills of North Carolina and run a trucking company so shipping and receiving from all corners is not a problem. Hard to find parts out here that are not eat up with rust...any help would be greatly appreciated...Love the mag and keep on truckin.

There is a truck on this site that i like. It is a 1958 chevy apache, the color is beautiful. I have a 1966 chevy and am in the process of painting it. I would to see if I can get the code for that color, which is charcoal metalic ppg. If this helps any the name is "eyes sore no more". If I can get this code it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm very new to this type of computer stuff. I'm looking to buy a antique 1938 Ford and am trying to find a web site that would help me figure out what it's worth.
Thanks
