Planning a Fatman front end and 4 link rear I also have a chrysler newyorker for drivetrain and donor parts to work with. With work it will be a relaible rod truck for her to cruise with. I am looking at a 1950 B2 Panel wagon and I am looking for a Right Front Fender. I am also wondering if I will be able to find some of the detail items like window rubber and chrome trim and window felt. Let me know if you all have a source I need to know about.
Thanks
Joe

Hello Dodge fans, new to the Forum. I'm hoping that I'm able to gather some valuable information on my build. Does anyone have any information on where I can purchase a rolling chassis. Don't want to do too much work other than body work and paint. Once I can get my hands on a rolling chassis, I would be able to put pretty much any combination together for the drive train. I have a 1954 Fargo, which is a Dodge made in Canada and oversees. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am a car guy who fell in love with Dodge trucks from the Pilothouse era. I have a 1951 that I have mofified to a 1986 diplomat front end. Due to problems with getting a power steering pump to fit with the original flat six, I opted for a manual box. Anyone have pictures on how they mocked up the steering column on a similar set-up?

Oh, the reply was for Heavyfoot91. Anyway, i got a 1953 Dodge 1 ton. It is original and was parked in a garage for 20 years before i got it. It still has the original paint and there is no rust but there has been mice in the interior. The wood in the box also need to be replaced.

Hi. I have a 56 Fargo that still has the original chassis rails but Jaguar front & rear suspension grafted in and new cross members put into the chassis. The Jag fit was suprisingly easy and resulted in about 6 inches dropping out of the ride height. I also know of a few other 54/55 Fargos that have been put on a Holden 1 ton ute chassis. A Mitsubishi L200 ute chassis also seems to be a common replacement under some of the pick-ups here in New Zealand. Both the Holden & Mitsubishi substitutes require fabrication of cab & tray mounting points, fairly likely that any other substitute would also. I think that Fatman Fabrication make an IFS to fit the mid 50s Dodge pick-ups. of that helps.
