As if we don't get our fill of feedback via e-mail and regular mail, we decided to dedicate a special Forum for Magazine Talk. Whether it's about past content, current content, or future content, we're content with talking content here--good, bad, or indifferent. Let's hear what you've got to say, but let's try and be civil.

I would like to start out by saying I think you put out a good magazine that keeps getting better. I am in the process of building a 1966 chevrolet swb fleetside. Before I started buying any parts, I bought any magazine on the newstand that had an article related to my model of truck. I wound up buying a subscription to this magazine and got the added bonus of your project old school series. I would like to see that type of feature but with a variety of different manufacturers parts installed and evaluated. I know that may be a little dicey with the advertising thing, but it would be helpful to know the pros and cons on an apples to apples basis. I am talking about getting performance data such as before and after skid pad, 60 foot acceleration, stopping distance improvement, steering response, actual body roll figures, top speed, stuff like that. I know that a lot of this hobby centers around cruising and shows, but I am building my truck to drive daily and to drive hard when I feel like it. Thanks for listening.

It is unfortunate that being "civil" should even be an issue and I hate to rant about "the appaling lack of manners in people today", that said, Thanks for a great publication, and I'm with the guy who builds 'em to drive 'em. I'm sure you are aware that the most popular tech articles are those relating to suspension upgrades, and in this you have done quite well. I understand the difficulties in navigating the way between product comparisons and the conflict of interest with advertisers. We the consumers, though, have a hard time comparing in the real world because retail space is at such a premium, and featuring a .selection at a "brick n' mortar" outlet would be prohitably expensive. A comparison between RB's part#1R-456, and D&P, as featured in CT 10-2000 front frame clips might be nice, but I think the main difference causing the price disparity may be in the difference in Huntington Beach, Ca and Snohomish, Wa costs of biz

This is a rather limited subject matter, but i would love to see a series on classic 4wd vehicles. Not to replace the current format, but perhaps a supplement in the form of a quarterly "classic 4wd" magazine. The other 4wd books are full of radical and weird machines, but this one could focus on clean, well preserved classics that are functional and don't need a ladder to get in. I love the Power Wagons, as well, the older Blazers, 4wd C-10's, Bronco's and even Scouts push a lot of the right buttons.
As i said -- this suggestion is not to replace current content, only to supplement it occasionally. A lot of us prefer haulin a-- to haulin hay bales, but the 4-bys are very cool

One thing I would like to see is on the tech articles if there was a way I could tell what order they go in. Such as numbering them. I sometimes don't know if they read left to right or up to down. Thank you for your time.
