I got a 64 LWB with a 283 & the three from the tree. Got rid of the tree and went to a floor shifter. What I would like to do is go 4-spd manual or more. What are my options...keep in mind I want to shift it myself.

Find a Muncie or Saginaw 4-speed, and buy a good old Hurst shifter or a B&M shifter.
Look on ebay or email me, I have a source for rebuilt 4-speeds and shifters in Texas.
