There was an article in the July '06 issue of Cusom Classic Trucks where they detailed the major operation. Yes it is a mjor operation and not for the faint of heart or "novice body man". As for the parts, at this point in time, you'd have get the bog window from a doner cab. Too bad, we threw away two or three of them last year as no one asked for them!
By next summer, I am sure our wholesaler (DII) will have the full back panel of the 55-59's with the big window. We can order them in the small window version as those have been made and are in stock.
If you wait long enough and save up enough cookie jar money, Dynacorn II will eventually have a complete 55-59 Chevy cab in Steel! They already are selling the 47-53 Cabs in steel! YUP the Whole DEAL just like GM made em 60 years ago! Are you looking for parts? Used, new, etc? I have glass, doors, hoods, grilles for the 57 chevy, rubber seals, bed wood, bed sides, and every part reproduced for the 55-59 Chevy/GMC family!
Plus, I also have hard to find GMC only parts. email me. son.follower@yahoo.com
