How about a shop truck build up article. I prefer late 50's early 60's style but hey just about anything can be cool, even fake patina. Hey speaking of patina I have a foolproof way to get it. Build your truck the way you like it then drive the wheels off of it. you get Kool patina and so much fun you wont stop smiling.            Rock chips are not blemishes they are battle scars.                                               Randy

We put over 80,000 miles on my wife's '54 GMC 1/2 ton pickup in under ten years.  We used it for everything from hauling furniture, towing horse & car trailers to loads of gravel and an occasional car show.  Now it's in the my shop getting an S10 frame and '05 DoD V8/4L60E and a ground up rebuild. Then it's back to being used as a truck   !

That sounds real Kool, hot rods are ment to be driven thats half of the fun. I currently have 1946 chevy that is going to be a long term project, and a 1952 five window that i am going to build very low budget. it will be running a 4.3 v6, 5-speed,(GAS PRICES) s-10 rear end, and a dropped front axle with disc brakes.I am working on using s10 heat and air unit.Just because it's built on a budget does not mean it can't be safe, dependable, and comfortable
