I just bought a 1968 C-10 with a 235 inline six with a three on the tree is this a stock motor that came with this year of truck? and if so where is there a good place to buy parts THANKS
Those are common engines with the C10 series trucks. As for parts, there are a few questions to ask. What tyoe of parts are you looking for? Engine, body, drive line? OEM, after market? Custom or factory? Original equipment or updated? The first place to start is this web site. They list several great vendors that have parts that could fit your every need. Tell them you found them from the web site so they get thier props. Another thing you can do is check out some of the magazines and see which ones cover what you want to do with your truck. Then you can look at the vendors list in the mag. Ebay has a ton of parts and publications that can help too. Getting a factory service manual for your truck will give you tons of help that you will need. You can get a actory assembly manual that was used by the factory techs to build your truck in 1968. they will run you about $50 for the factory assembly manual and the factory repair/service manual but it is well worth it. They will show you how to remove parts and the way to install them. You can also find the OEM part numbers to assist you in chasing down parts that you need weather at a new vendor or the junk yard..pardon me..the salvage yard. I hope that this will help you with your new enderver and good luckThe Mower Doc

If it's a 235, that is NOT the stock motor that came with your truck. The 235 I-6 (Also known as the Blue Flame Six) was discontinued in the mid-60s in favor of the 250 inline six. The 250 featured a different head design, and some other internal differences from the old 235 six. In '68, your truck would've either came with a 250 or a 292 inline six. You need to verify what I-6 you have. If it's a 235 I-6, for internal parts Egge is gonna be one of the best places to shop. For the 250 or 292, you can get parts from all over the place. That I-6 family was produced through the mid-80s.
