Hi everyone, I was wondering if anybody out there has installed a front camaro subfame on a pick-up truck? I was exploring options on what to do on my project. What is the good side and bad side on doing this?

Thanks again!!

I live in Southern California, and I have a '62 Chevy Panel.  After struggling with the crappy torsion bar front end, I found a guy who tore it out, notched and boxed the frame for a power steering box and installed a '73HD front end with discs.  With the addition of drop spindles, the stance is almost perfect, and it tracks like it's on rails.

All for US$600.00 and 2 cases of Pabst Blue Ribbon.

why not do a complete frame swap  will cost avout the same amount. i have a 56 chevy  half ton  i bought a 81 camaro for 50 dollars and  put the sub frame under my truck. it's all good  no bad points that i can see and my truck has been a daily driver since 1996   just make sure you can not tell where you marry  the frames together   box your frame all the way back to the rear end. bi think you cound find a lare model truck or  something that will work

Hey, dk & chevyguy thanks for info. I found someone with a '75 front upper&lower tubular with disk brakes but it only needs the engine cross-member.

Thanks again.
