Hello there, I was wondering is there a difference between a g.m.c short bed frame and chevy short bed frame?

no the difference is only in the trim and options

The GMC has leaf springs, but most Chev were trailing arm coil springs. These are very different.  Dean

Maybe I missed something here  but he did say frame not chassis all 1/2 ton short bed frames were made frum the same stamping. Thats why if you look at your frame there will be a number of holes not being used. They are for differant options between GMC & Chevy

The GMC and Chevy frames are the same. Chevy came standard with coil springs with optional leaf. Where as the GMC came standard with Leaf with optional coil springs
