1953 1/2 ton Bed fit on a 1950 3600?

I was wondering if anyone knows if a 1953 1/2 ton Chevy bed would fit on a 1950 Frame? I am looking at a project to start and it has a big ugly utility bed on it, I've found a 1953 bed for pretty cheap so, I'm wondering.

The '53 will have a short bed if it's half ton. The 3600 needs a long bed.
