if you are wanting to put disc brakes on your 68, you need to find a 1972 and up parts truck. change the upper "A" frames, spindles, rotors and calipers.you will also neet to replace all steering linkage. if your parts truck has power brakes, you can install the booster, all brake lines and hoses fron the front to the back. in the early days before i has a shop i did 2 of these change overs in my drive way. i all most forgot you neen to put a new lower ball joint in your 68 lower "A" frame.

I'm interested in doing the same thing to my '67...Les Schwab quoted me an ok bill for some suspension work, but I figured I could do the work myself for a fraction of the price and drop in some disc breaks IF i can steal'em from a van.
My uncle has quite a few 84-86 Chevy G20 vans that were part of a fleet. Many of them have new exhaust systems (flowmasters), serpentine systems, new break systems, new radiators, and new disc brakes and front suspension. He said he'd sell me the A arms, shocks, bushings, and disc breaks for a fraction of the cost. Any thoughts? How about stealing the serpentine system?
