Hi, first I want to say whats up to everyone as I am brand spankin new here, and regularly I am a ford guy, mustangs specifically, but recently by a series of not so great events I have come into a chance to pick up a 1957 chevy 3100 pick up for a very good price (or so I think). not taking advantage of anyone either just a good deal. I guess I have a few questions, first what would a truck like that be worth? I don't know too much about these old trucks, it has a huge back window that sorta wraps around (is this rarer than normal or the standard?) and as far as I know the truck is original except for a 5 lug conversion (I don't know the specifics of how or what was used for the lug conversion)it has a straight 6 in it from what I remember and column shift and I am pretty sure it is 4wd. it is a California truck and no rust anywhere that I saw. the wood in the bed was pretty bad, but I know that there is no wood in it currently as it was taken out, the frame under where the bed normally covers looks great, not new but completely rust free from what I saw. the paint looks faded, probably not original but who knows. I guess I am just looking for some info on these trucks so I can see what I am getting if I decide to take it. any information or leads to some sources to information would be greatly appreciated. and I thank you in advance for any help.
I do have pictures but no scanner and they are regular pics, I will try and get them scanned and posted.
