My father has given me my grandpa's 1958 31 Apache truck.  It needs some restoration, but I am COMPLETELY ignorant when it comes to these kind of things.  I've been told that with a minimal tune up it will run as it was running just several years ago.  It needs a bench seat before I can get in it plus a new windshield and needs boards in the bed.  There is SOME body rust, but not much.  Mostly around the bottom and it needs a paint job (a candy apple red paint job.)  Is there anyone who has restored one of these before that can tell me what kind of price tag I'm looking at for restoration?  At this point I'm happy just to get it running at this point and can deal with the cosmetic stuff later, but I have no clue what I'm getting into and was hoping for some seasoned advice.  

It all depends on how nice you want it. Belive me it can get expensive. but if your not worried about cosmetics and the drivetrain seems to be in tact, you could get some descent wheels, rebuild the engine, maybe some new brakelines and you could be driven for less than 3K
