Hi Guys, I'm restoring my Dad's 66 GMC 3/4 ton and need to know rearend ratio. Some say it's a 370 or 373. I want to repower w/ 350 crate Chevy and 700-R4 auto since I don't have a rt. hand. It's presently inline 6-3 on tree plain jane. Any help appreciated.

Easy! Raise the rear end off the ground, rotate the rear tire and count the number of revolutions the drive shaft makes. Use some chalk to mark the tire and drive shaft makes it easier.
A 350 crate with 700-R4 will make that a sweet ride. With the over drive transmission, that will match up well with the 3.73 rearend gears.
