Wen trying to install hood bumpers into the fenders I notice that the rectangular hole where they plug in is higher on one fender than the other. Yet, LMC sells these bumpers to fit 1953-56 trucks. Why would the hole be higher up on one fender than the other? I must have a fender from some other year of truck...or a Mercury?
Any thoughts?

ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR MY 53 F-250 PROJECT? JUST BOUGHT A 351 CRATE ENGINE FORD WINDSOR. WHICH TRANSMISSION WOULD YOU ALL RECOMEND. THANKS,. ROBERT.
