I recently purchased a MK VIII. Originally I was going to hot rod it, but after having it side by side with my 56 F100 I decided to take the rear end out of the MK VIII and put it into the 56. I have'nt actually done this yet (although the rear is out of the MK VIII). Has anyone ever done this swap? I know from outside of rotor to outside of rotor is 61 inches, so I will have to widen my fenders. Does anybody have any other pointers I should look for? Thanks for your help.

I'm glad to see there is someone else out there who has given consideration to using some Mk viii parts. I have a 97 LSC that I thought about pulling the motor/trans out for use in a 56 f100. I have given thought to using the rearend also, but have not researched it much. Have you discovered any other issues besides the width yet?
