I am wondering if any of the parts from a 1992 Chevy 1500 can be swapped into a 1970 C-10. I am interested in swapping front suspension, brakes, rear end, steering column, and possibly other parts.
Thanx, Rob

I don't think you can swap those. I think they were able to up to 1986.
68 chop top 327 5 speed Stereo and AC. A real hot rod has a clutch. Anyone can modify it BUT it takes a real man to chop one up. See my truck in Reader's Ride and vote on it!

Actually the cut-off year for front suspension interchange is 1987. I'm not sure about the other items of interest. You might have to do some minor mods to use them. Good Luck!

All 60-87 front suspension are interchangable. The early ones with torshion bar have a inch shorter in hight frame. I put a 75 front under my 63 you have to drill out one hole on each side for bolts. As for the stering you can get a kit from Brothers or Early Classic. I cut the section off the 75 frame for the stering and grafted it inplace of the on the 63. A year or so ago Classic Trucks did a artical on changing the stering. See if you can find it.
