I have a grill guard for a truck, which I did not use and no longer need. When I bought it I was told it was for a 1947-1953 chevy pickup truck. It has a 7" opening to mount to front bumper. Within that 7" is a 4.5 curvature which mates perfectly to a 1/2 ton truck front bumper. Someone said it won't fit on a Chevy 1/2 ton truck without removing the splash apron, they also said it would not fit a suburban or panel truck, that it fits only large trucks 2-3 ton.

If it is only for larger trucks, will it fit a one or 1 1/2 ton truck, or it it only for 2 and 3 ton trucks?
