I own a 55 international and am starting to build the truck i want in my mind. i do not wish to restore a stock vehicle; therefore, I would have a 6 cyl eng/trans combo sitting on a full chassis that someone could use rather than me throwing it away.
specific to the build i'm looking to conduct, i am having trouble finding dimension information on the truck -- necessary for the custom frame that i'm shopping for. has anyone put an art morrison or similar custom frame under a classic truck body? what measurements were required?
the basics are covered - IFS, ford or GM rear end, tremec 5-spd, sb chevy f.i. and custom air conditioning, but what major contingencies am i missing or haven't thought of?
i appreciate any information or references
thanks!

I think all the measurements you need are of the old frame. It fits the truck and has to be made the same to fit back in. You are not going to find a custom frame to fit a International unless one from a Ford or chev will be close. Probably the best is to have someone rework your old frame the way you want it TCI or someone like that. Check out and see if one for a 63 on up Chev will be close. Then put your cab & box mounts on. There is a couple of co. making them.
