I am looking for a good reputable source for glass for my 1952 Chevy 5 window Pickup. My primary need is a one piece windshield. Anyone got a good source?

I have a 1953 chevy 5 window P/U that I just purchased. The body is reasonably good but thisprojuct truck is in need of full restoration.
I am interested in the same thing you are - a one piece windshield. If you are able to find a source, will you let me know? My e-mail is jorsolits@clarendon-ins.com.
Also, If you have done a restoration on your 52 chevy 5 window p/u and have installed a 350 V8, I would love to talk to you and to learn from your experience. I have never done a restoration before and would like to learn from the experience of others. I have worked on cars and trucks as a hobby all of my life. However, I am not a professional mechanic and can use all the advice that anyone can give me.

The closest thing to a 1-piece, for a 47-53, is a couple of custom installs, where the center bar was eliminated. The winshield halves were bonded in the middle, with some kind of clear resin. IIRC, they were a custom cut, wider to bridge the center gap. Only the 54 & 55(1st series) had 1-piece windshield.

Not sure if you found what a site or company for the windshield. But you might try Chevsofthe40s (deal specifically with Chevs car and trucks) website. I would call them and also ask. The thefillingstaion.com is another. I have dealt with them both & ordered from them. Both are very good. If you are searching for the window, you might try V Bent windshield too. I ordered one for my 37' chevy (not cheap). I looked the one up on Chevsofthe40s and it shows about $2590. But I would still call them to be sure and they may also offer other options.

I bought a 1952 Chevy car that I am in the process of turning into a hot rod. I would still like some new parts here and there like weatherstripping and glass. Try http://www.autoglassguru.com/state-NY.html
