Dropped a 402 into my '62. Yours will be easier, since you already have the later bellhousing.
Get 73-up 6-cylinder frame mounts. The upper holes come out right where you can get into the frame and install nuts & washers. The lower tab needs to be hammered down to match the front of the crossmember, before drilling. You can use the late style V-8 motor mounts. You will have to bump the firewall back, to clear the valve covers. If you run a 12" clutch, you will need an 1/8" spacer between the block & bellhousing, so the clutch cover doesn't rub.
I used Headman Tigh Tube, flat collector headers, with boot protectors, from Speedway. Your exhaust will be easier, too, as I had to work aound the torsion bars.
1949 Chevy 1 1/2ton, home-built hydraulic wrecker. Rustoleum industrial black, with flames. Flamethrowers out 5" dual stacks. 1962 Chevy C-20, 402BB, 4-speed, 3.90 positrack. Hauls my camper.... among other things.
