I pulled the bench seat cushions and seat frame out of a 1950 Chevy 3100 1/2 ton in order to pull the gas tank. The seat frame has two long springs that appear to pull the seat forward. I managed to break one, so I'd like to replace them, but can't seem to find them online. Can anyone recommend a source?

I would suggest going to the website www.lmctruck.com. They have just about any part you need for classic trucks, except an oil bath air cleaner for my 1953 Chevy Truck.

To DWinn and Diane2008. Ya ought to both give John Budd a call at 1-300-947-2002 in Deerfield Oh. I'm sure he can take care of both your needs. He's reasonable on his prices, and you never know, you might find that he has something else that ya need. Tell him that Smurf from Canfield, with the Craftsman Classic GMC sent ya!
