where do I find the VIN number stamped on the frame?

I don't know, would it be stamped on the inside door frame like modern vehicles. Can anyone help out?

rh frame rail horn, between steer box bolt area and front x member or stamped on the front x member top surface. i have purchased many that had no numbers stamped though.
