This is my first post here, and I'm hoping for some advice. My 1959 apache was running good when the radiator sprung a leak. The radiator appeared to be half full when I discovered the leak. I replaced the radiator with a new one, filled it up with coolant and water, and when I fired it up, it started squealing like a pig. My suspicion is that the water pump died, but it seems weird to have two problems simultaneously. Anyone here have advice?
Thanks, Ben

That squealing like a pig sound is probably your fan belt. Try taking it off and you should be able to turn both the alt and the water pump rather EZ.While the belt is off, go ahead and start the motor up and see if the sound is still there. If it still squeals with the belt off, you got bigger problems, like something fried in the motor, but that's really a long shot!
Good Luck

Second that on the fan belt. The prestone gets them all slicked up.
