Well I found a 88 S-10 Reg Cab Long bed, so I now have my donor chassis. So now I have an 88 2.8 V6 and Automatic Trans, as well as the complete S-10 body for sale.

I certainly don't know about other frames, but you should also check, http://forums.customclassictrucks.com for answers. Hope this will help.

Check out e-zchassisswaps.com. Ed has kits for a Caprice or C10 chassis under a 55 to 59 cab/box that are basic bolt-up kits on the donor chassis.

I plan to use his kit to convert a Chevy pickup from the mid 80s to a daily driver 55 2nd series.

Just curious if it has to be a '83 or if other years were the same frame?? Any help would be great...

Oh yeah...I'm new here. I'm working on a '58 short narrow. My brother is also building a '59 short bed fleetside. We are trying to figure out which way to go on the frame. I'm going with a 327 sbc but he's going with a 396 bbc. We have heard so many different things we're dizzy   ! LOL

Thanks for the help!

What you want is a Jaguar frame because they are cheap and plentiful.
Or possibly a Pinto front clip if you really want to carve up some road.
