I have a 2wd shortbed that is sagging pretty bad in the rear. I found some leafs from a salvage yard but when we got one of the orig.'s off, we realized that they were 56" long, with a little offset from the center. The replacements I got were 52" long, and symmetrical.
Stockers are 4 leaf and new are 5, but that shouldnt matter right? THe guy @ the salvage yard said that all that they could find were 52".
Can anyone help me out, or has anyone ecountered this problem before? Thanks

Yeah, they won't work, as is. IIRC, 1/2 ton leaf packs are longer, for smooth ride. While 3/4, & 1 ton leafs are shorter for load capacity.

You might be able to use you original main leaf, re-arch it, and install the other leafs under it, to get you height back.  If you plan on hauling anything, go ahead and add the extra leaf.  It might ride a little rougher, but it will add a little more height and capacity.
