What manual transmission would line up the best with my 305 block in my truck without any extra adapters? If there isn't any such transmission could someone tell me what adapter I would need for a manual transmission.
Also could someone give some links on how to put in a manual transmission (puting in the clutch pedal, lowering the steering colum, cutting a hole in the body to put in the shifter, ect...).

Depends....
What's your truck?
What tranny did it have before?
What do you want to do with it?
How much do you want to spend?

1949 Chevy 1 1/2ton, home-built hydraulic wrecker.  Rustoleum industrial black, with flames.  Flamethrowers out 5" dual stacks.
1962 Chevy C-20, 402BB, 4-speed, 3.90 positrack. Hauls my camper.... among other things.

A wide ratio Muncie M20 will work for you. I'd add a cast iron mid-plate to provide protection from the torque of your big block engine. The M20 is compatible with your differential gear.
