I can't seem to find front brakes for my 1952 chevy thriftmaster 1430, HOW COME???????? Do any of the later years use that style of brake?????????? I HOPE SO!!!!!

Believe it or not I get my brakes for my 49, 51, and 53 at NAPA. have you tried them yet?

I will try them, do you know if they fit other things in case I need to cross reference???????

I lucked out at mine because the clerk has a passion for the old cars too. I know he has the books there and they all have them. You just have to find someone who knows how to use thier books to find your items.

Might check some less national parts stores. They probably have a supplier that can reline your cores. Maybe even in-house.
1949 Chevy 1 1/2ton, home-built hydraulic wrecker. Rustoleum industrial black, with flames. Flamethrowers out 5" dual stacks. 1962 Chevy C-20, 402BB, 4-speed, 3.90 positrack. Hauls my camper.... among other things.

You need to have an assembly manual if you want to built this. They are available on Ebay and they have more information than any picture could give you

www.lmctruck.com they show a brakdown picture on the brakes,and list the shoes. Another go GM catalog is www.classicindustries.com
