Hi guys I'm a newbie and wanted to first say I'm glad to be on this site I just bought a 3" drop axle for my truck and wanted to know what I can do about my front hubs. I dont want to put disk brakes on the front but I would like to go 5 lug so I can put nice wheels on it. what can I do ? Thanks.

for what it's worth man, consider the upgrade to disks. it's not you, its not the truck, people are driving more and more like idjits. Give your truck a fighting chance at saving bodywork when some reprobate cuts you off so he can be first at the lights. opens more doors for your wheels too!
other than that,, welcome to the forum and can't wait to see your 51 (mine is a Ford)

You might be able to convert to pre-disc car hubs, if you are set on keeping drums up front. From there, it should be easy to find a later model rear axle to match the pattern. Plus a later rear axle will have better gears.

I may be wrong but I think they used to use 54 chev spindles and front brakes, or maybe just brakes?
