I finally got out to see this old truck up close, its in pretty rough shape... not nearly as good as I thought.. but hey.. its 50+ years old... what do I expect... Anyway... this is a Canadian truck... I photographed the Vin plate... but none of it corresponds to anything I can find on the net.. From the outside.. I would say a 54... but who knows.. maybe someone can help...

Thanks for any info people can provide...

C'mon you classic truckers, if that doesn't look like a 54 or 55 first series chevrolet made in Canada then ya'll must have lost it completely.

The tag should have a model number 1314 which also indicates that it is a 1/2 ton pick up.  4800 pounds  116" wheel base

the vin number ends in a 4 if I'm not mistaken that means a 54, The solid winshield and grill and flat top bed say 54/55 1st, The hood emblem is right for those years.

I'd say 54 Chevrolet pickup or Advanced Design Pickup or Possible Rat Ride Pickup, so why's it still sitting in the field and why does the tree want in the hood so bad?
