hi im new here ive bought myself a stock 1972 chevy c20 im currently restoring it the cab floor is where most of the work needs to be done im the 2nd owner of this truck it has the original 350 mated to a 4 speed manual transmission i drove the truck only 1 time since buying it 4 months ago the truck is a real stump puller it is geared so low infact, that a wheel stand is not possible brake stand yes wheel stand no does anybody know what the gear ratio is in the rear end? what would be a better gear ratio to go with? im thinking on putting in 2:73s but i am not sure how this will pan out and i would like to know what i should have to start with, im sure that everything is factory original right now

Probably a 4.57.  Is it the Dana "banjo dropout" rear end? aka, looks like a 9" ford on steriods.

1949 Chevy 1 1/2ton, home-built hydraulic wrecker.  Rustoleum industrial black, with flames.  Flamethrowers out 5" dual stacks.
1962 Chevy C-20, 402BB, 4-speed, 3.90 positrack. Hauls my camper.... among other things.
