I don't know what would be cheaper, drop spindles or bags. Does anyone have any suggestions on what may be cheaper.

Well, no dropped spindles are available.  These trucks have a leaf spring straight axle front end.  Eaton makes lowering springs for them, but you need to eliminate bump steer.  Best way to go is with a Fatman IFS up front.  I'm currently installing C4 Corvette front and rear suspension in my 67 D100 and am documenting it for a future article in Classic Trucks.
