I have the 6AL. In the manual. It says to hook the main wire to the coil wire. Would it be better if the main wire was hooked into the Ignition switch itself? Need idea's. Thanks for looking.

I have a MSD 6A system with a MSD Billet distributor. The only wires that lead to my coil are the coil primary wires which are orange and black. I think MSD is referring to the wires that supply power to the system. Again I only have my system to go by and it has 2 power wires. One is always hot and one is “switched” hot, so it is only hot when the ignition is on. I think these are both red wires and were labeled when they came out of the box. Whatever you do make sure you have it right or you could do major damage. If you have any doubts call MSD, I’m sure they will be more than happy to help you. They want everyone to have a good experience with their product.
as always Good Luck
