Ive replaced all the innards of the drum brakes on the front of my F1, and had the drums turned, but i worried about driving in stop and go traffic. Will these brakes be sufficient and hold up, and will they be able to stop the truck quick enough?

In order for your brakes to work properly both front and rear must work well. Make sure you change all of your brake hoses front and rear . They may look good but could be collapsed internally. (happened to me once). When you had the front drums turned ,did they say that the drums were in good shape or was this the last time they could be turned? How about the master cylinder? Check all of your brake parts front and rear and make sure you have them bled and adjusted and they will be fine.
