I am helping my dad restore a 58 3100 apache pick up.  The attached photo is the emblem that we took off the fender.  I am wondering if anyone knows if this is the correct ones for this truck. This truck also has chrome bumpers and chrome grill.  I would like to know more about options that you could get and if there is any way to decode the vin number to see if this truck is original. Thanks for your help.

That looks just like the emblem I have on my 58 - except mine is a 3200 (long wheel base). There are a number of wiki sites that will give you info about the options of the truck - try this one -http://auto.howstuffworks.com/1958-chevrolet-cameo-carrier.htm

or this one to decode the vin.
