I would like to know can someone recommend a solution to convert my 8 lug front drum brakes over to 8 lug disk brake and how much it should cost and is it how hard to do.

I understand the need for discs to stop your 3600 and looked into it for about a year until I gave up and swapped in a 1/2 ton front axle and bought a 5 lug disc brake kit from Progressive.  Not hard and I left in the original 3/4 leaf springs.

I also had adapter plates machined (7075 AL plate) to go from 5 lug to 8 lug so I could still throw on my 8 lug rims for showing. Let me know if you have an interest in these and I'll send you a picture.
