c4 trany overheating

i have c 4 trany in cj5 powered by 351 wind w/ cooling fans, plenty of fluid! trany overheats and spues out fillstick and vent tube ,on easy driving cannot go far anybody know why? 1980 jeep, new to me, no history.all comments welcome

Are the trans lines connected to the radiator or a trans cooler? Check for a blockage in the line, especially if it is connected to a radiator.
