Any decent part store will have the joints you need. They might ask if they are inside or outside clips, cap size, and distance between clips.
A few hand tools and a good vise is all you need, besides know-how.

It sure helps if someone shows you how to do this job the first time. If not, it’s a piece of cake for any good Parts Store worth going to, all they need is a press. All the home guy actually needs is a hammer, a little attitude to pound on something and a good vise. Just talk to your guys first and then bring them the driveshaft, it should not cost that much, compared to a first timer taking the better part of a day if you don't have some experienced help. Park with the rear end of the truck higher than the front if you can. Even then you may loose a little tranny fluid. Unbolt the back end of the driveshaft first then work your way to the front. I would expect this truck to have a center u-joint and bearing as opposed to just one long shaft. Mine is a 1970 F-100 and it has a center bearing and a second shaft that goes from there to the trans. If this is the case you should probably have them replace the center bearing too. When mine went out it pretty much disabled the truck. I limped it to the car show in Pomona at about 5 mph and then called AAA for a flat bed ride. The bearing gave no indication it was ready to go out, it just let the driveshaft go all over the place when I got off the freeway. So if this is your first time, I would take it in and have them give it the works. As always Good Luck and enjoy the ride HB
