Spoonman that depends. How long is a piece of string? Unless the primer was a professional grade material (PPG Ditzler House of Color etc.) it needed mixing with other materials and was sprayed from a gun it may not last too long. It all depends on all the elements that were involved in applying the paint and the elements it will be exposed to. For a long time the paint itself may look allright but what is going on underneath the paint may not be good. Bottom line is s shaker can type paint will stay on for a while but will not and was not designed to stay exposed for a long time. Usually when a vehicle is primmed the process continues to surfacer, block sanding, sealer and then color all within a few weeks if possible. By the time you are ready for color paint (1-2 yrs or more) you will to start over and go down to bare metal or body filler. Right now I would not worry about it. Enjoy HB
