I have a 1951 GMC Truck long box. i would like to put a 2 speed rear end in. do you have any suggestions or different ideas? I would like to find one out of an old 1-1/2 ton or so, that way there is not that much conversion to deal with. Ideas?

I think you will be dissapointed with an old 2-speed.  The late 40-early 50's models were 6.23 over 8.something.  If you don't want to switch to a late model 5 or 6-speed, you could always look into an auxilliary overdrive, like USGear, or GearVendors.
I hear some talk, on the diesel boards, about a Spicer brownie box, that is small enough for pickups. The 5831 I've got is HUGE, as big as a truck 5-speed. I got it to put in my 66 C60, just never got around to it.
