I need to get headlights and liscence plate light working, and a parking brake to pass inspection. the problem is the lighting harness i believe, i ordered lighting harness and lights from LMC truck, on its way, may need help or tips installing.  I also cannot find a parking brake, they do not offer a 4x4 parking brake from LMC, only a 2wd.  where can i find one for a 4wd? anyone know of good places to get GMC parts??? thanks in advance for any help

I just installed a complete wiring harness in a 63 GMC. The harness came with EVERYTHING from the headlights to the tail lights. Fuse block, flashers, horn relay, and very detailed instructions for installation. The harness was purchased from Hot Rod Wires out of Texas. The factory plug in is only two wires to the headlights, I believe there is a tan and a green wire. I think the green went to the low beams. Only difference is the 63 has double headlights instead of a single in the 65. Hope I can help....

I just found out today that I gave you some incorrect information. Your 65 GMC does have dual headlights unlike a 65 Chevy. The rest of the info i gave is correct. GMC used the dual headlights through 72 where Chevrolet did not.. Sorry if I confused you.

Until you get a custom e-brake just make sure to carry some cinder block in your truck or what ever those rectangle cement things are.
