Hello all. Im switching from 6 lug to 5 lug on my 69 C10. The front is taken care of with a new disc brake kit. My question is about the rear. I want to keep my original rear end and drum set up. I dont want to buy the axle conversion kit. Does anyone have experience with 6 lug to 5 lug wheel adapters ? Will they work with drums? Can they potentially cause clearance issues with new wheels ? Thanks for any advice.

before i got my F100, i was a jeep fanatic, and i was in a local club here. alot of guys run either adapters or spacers behind their wheels. the only thing you'll run into is added axle width. obviously, putting an adapter between the axle and the wheel is going to push the wheel out. but, to my knowledge, it won't affect your drums or anything.

One of the risks with running adapters is they can crack. I say it on a 95 Silverado and it was not pretty.
