Is there an S-10 or S-15 chassis out there that would be an easy swap for my 52 3/4 ton?  I wanted to keep the 52 frame and update the suspension but with my skills (or non skills) I'm hearing it would be much easier to just use an s-10 chassis keeping everything on it.  Is this true or would it be better to find a Mustang II IFS and find a nova rear?  I'm looking at putting a powerful motor in it with a 5spd.  Any suggestions or advice?  Thanks.

Yo Dudes!  In answer to your question about S-10 and S-15 chassis for your trucks, check out  ad-engineering.com  They are in Sonora, Ca.  Phone number is [215] 559-9360   They manufacture conversion kits just for the 47-55 first series. They're a whole lot cheaper and easier than the other route. A lot quicker to do the changeover too!  Makes life easier for the non-talented fabricators. Give em' a holler  GOOD LUCK

My goal is a low, fast, manual tranny truck.  Will an S-10 chassis hold up ok to a 400 HP + motor?

People put V8's in S-10's all the time. If you're concerned about the strength, you can always box the back section of the frame and beef up the springs, or four bar the rear. There's also the option of ladder bars. It's all about how much do you want to spend to get what you want.

If you want something that's going to handle a little better and be a lot stronger I have a custom frame I'm not going to use. its set up for a C4 corvette suspension and Coil over shocks. The back could be changed out to what ever you wanted to easily.

I'll let the frame speak for itself.

Nice looking from, do you have a ball park figure for the price?

I want to be 3995-4500 when we go into production. I could MIG the frames to save time but I also like the quality and the look of the TIG beads. This one's not so pretty and I would let it go for 3000.00 to the first person who wants it. Any C4 corvette suspension (1984-1996) will bolt right up.

Sounds like a reasonable price.
