Does anyone know if when using a modern trans and aftermarket trans crossmember, that  it would then be okay to torch out the old bellhousing mount crossmember?
Seems to me it could weaken the forward cab mounts.
My truck is now lowered, and I find the stock crossmember a bit low to the ground.
Decapitate a squirrel kinda low.

I'm betting 80 % of you know the answer of the top of your heads.
I'm  also betting I'll keep asking till I get an answer.
So if you don't want me jamming up this board, gimmie an answer and I'll go away.
Seems fair to me.

ebb we welcome the "jamming" as long as it ain't spam which your not a part of. If you cut out the old crossmember and install the new crossmember just make sure its reinforced like hell.

I think that got answered on the other forum,  you know the Custom Classic..........whoops is that a bad word here.
Anyway, torch it out , the new crossmember will make up the difference.

Maybe on the print side it's one of those words that will get you blacklisted but on the web you just need to buy me a cup of coffee when ever you make that mistake.

Wow the good ol'days when a cup of joe and a scone didn't leave a $7 dent in your pocket. Damn I sound like a gramps and I'm only 28.
