Cargo to 3rd brakelight conversion

I'm looking for suggestions on how to turn the factory cargo light on my '71 C-10 into a 3rd brake light. Early Classic use to sell an L.E.D. conversion, but the company that manufactured that product has gone out of business. I have a Painless Performance wiring harness, which has a 3rd brake light lead, but I'm not sure how to wire it into the cargo lamp. Any advice would be a great help.
