For my 56, I picked up a CCP conversion, and found a Saginaw from a 71 pickup. It gets welded onto the outer frame. I dropped my straight axle 3". The tuffest part is the power steering pump install. No one sells a straight 6 conversion bracket set, so I made my own. Worked out well. If you have a 283/327/350 then it is a breeze. Brackets available galore. Email me and I'll send some pics. lorrob@cox.net
