Will the 700R-4 or 4L80-E O/D Transmission hook up the the original transfer case, mounts, are the transmissions the same length, & are there any clearance issues.
Oh yeah, what about all of the linkages.   Thanks, Dustin

i don't know about the transfer case issues, BUT
the 700 should clear your floor pan and have plenty of room in the tunnel...
in 2wd application i had to slide the cross-member back 2-3 inches and drill new bolt holes in the frame...the 700r4 is three inches longer than the 350 and the 200-4r...again, 2wd app.    seems like i recently read an article on this type of swap and the writer said that the tail-shaft lengths were different between 2 & 4wd 700's due to having to mount to the transfer case

as far as the linkage...the same linkage will work...the only difference is if you currently have a three speed auto column shift, you won't be able to pull the 700 into first gear...depending on your rearend gearing, this may be a good thing...i learned the hard way after sending the motor into orbital rpms w/4.11 rear and 3.06 first in 700...

the 4L80 will require some type of electronic control were the 700 doesn't

hope you find something useful in all this
