I have a fairly straingt 1950 GMC 3100. I am trying to decide If I want to feel like Im driving a tractor or if I want to go modern. I know I want to get rid of the 63 Chev straingt 6 but Im not sure if I want to keep the frame and replace the Engine/Trans or do a complete body swap. Any info either way would be appreciated..

Mentioned in your other post, stick with the S-10 frame and do a 350sm/TH350 combo. There is a swap kit by Trans-Dapt that makes this swap easier now.
