I would like to issue a challenge to the staffers assigned to cover the Goodguys Lonestar Nationals next month. It is a simple challenge but if this years coverage is anything like the last three years I will be eating the Chicken Dinner.
Here is the challenge: In your coverage of the event I challenge you to NOT.. A. ..include any picture of a truck with a haybale in or near it, B. ..make mention or include pictures of the track ride concession regardless if they give you free rides or not, C. ..give an award to any truck that is not licensed and registered to drive on the street. D. ..not spend all your time in the special truck/Gold Chainer area and get out and meet those who enjoy the hobby and actually "drive" our trophies.
If you can meet 2 of 4 of these challenges I will reup my subscription. If you meet 3 of the 4 I will reup for two years and if you hit for the cycle I will reup for 3 years.
The point is you can save some money and just reach back in your archives and reprint your coverage from a past year. Do something different. It may work out great.

Just trying to help you all break the cycle of reporting the same thing year after year. If you go back through the last 3-4 years of CC coverage of this event you will see a pattern. Sure - keep the top 10 feature but try to change up some of the other coverage. One suggestion is to give more coverage to trucks displaying actual inspection and registration stickers on the windshields. Without one or both the truck is not street legal and is probably a trailer queen. We can see those anytime. I do not really care if you find my truck but if you do we can chat further. Enjoy your trip to Texas.

And you will also see the same editor too. The editor has been changed so we'll see how the coverage changes?
