I have a 55 half ton with A 78 NOVA subframe My question is it now has a power stering box on the frame, can I put a manual steering box in its place? Which year manual box will work? I also need to know what steering columns from what vehicles will work. Thanks in advance Chris

jegs lists a manual steering box for '70-'81 camaro and also fitting '75-'79 nova
box, pitman arm, rag joint...$489.99
pn 153-999003

so probably those same years if you can find a used one in good shape will interchange

a power box can be used w/o the pump BUT there has to be a non-crimped by-pass between the two ports on the steering box...
